Continuity
London claims it preserved Britain and that Neo Victoria remains a province of the First Prefecture.
CHRONOLOGY RECORD // LIVING ARCHIVE
The history of Project 2088 is not one uninterrupted record. It is assembled from official dates, corporate archives, damaged memories, forbidden broadcasts and stories preserved by people who were never meant to survive.
History was written by the victor. In Britana, the victor was whoever kept the archive.
WHOSE TRUTH
Government collapsed. Communities disappeared. Records were destroyed. Construct kept the water flowing. Anamika preserved bodies and memories. Lockhead protected the remaining routes. London retained the language of government. They survived long enough to write the accepted history.
London claims it preserved Britain and that Neo Victoria remains a province of the First Prefecture.
Construct believes infrastructure defeated collapse. Its authority is justified by every light that remains on.
Anamika defines continuity through the body and recorded memory, while the question of the soul remains unanswered.
Lockhead records wars as incidents, rebellion as disorder and civilian loss as the cost of protection.
The Underground preserves forbidden testimony, but oppression does not make every rumour true.
The greatest loss belongs to miners, families and patients who left no surviving archive at all.

RECORD CLASSES
The timeline can hold competing versions without pretending every version is equally reliable.
Accepted public history. Clear, dated and carefully incomplete.
Detailed records shaped by each corporation’s responsibilities and interests.
Graffiti, testimony and hidden broadcasts preserving what authority excluded.
Events witnessed or remembered by the player. Evidence, but never automatic proof.
Two or more incompatible accounts displayed together for investigation.
Records without a secure date, source or explanation.
THE FORMATION OF NEO VICTORIA
Neo Victoria was founded in 2081, but it is still being formed in 2088. The player does not rewrite its past. Their choices become the history happening now.
Restored power, opened tunnels, protected communities, preserved Signals and political alliances determine what kind of city survives beneath Nottingham.
Neo Victoria has already been built beneath Nottingham. The player decides what kind of city rises from it.
THE PERSONAL TIMELINE
Signals, dossiers and locations unlock dated records instead of disconnected collectibles.
Official history can split into corporate, Underground and personal accounts as evidence appears.
The player decides which account becomes part of Neo Victoria’s public memory.
The player does not change what happened. The player changes what survives.
